30th June 2009
Stroud Life featured Cllr Sarah Lunnon last week in their 5 minute Stroudie section.
What are you up to in Stroud?
Trying to be incognito after my huge election victory. Well actually I seem to be traveling to Gloucester rather a lot being inducted into the County Council which is very, very painful.
What’s the best thing about living in Stroud?
Free-wheeling my bike down the hills. Its just a bugger that it takes me so long to push my bike up them.
Favourite place to live?
Well after Stroud, Exeter whose advantage over Stroud is that you can catch the train to the beach.
What would you like to see in Stroud?
A beach, we could set one up like they have in Paris, along side the River Frome
Favourite trader?
Tricky to pick one, I’ll go with Stroud Children’s Bookshop as they put up with all my browsing.
What’s the perfect Stroud weekend?
Saturday morning in Stroud chat chat chatting. Swifts Hill with my children and walking in the beech woods, having Saturday dinner cooked for me. Sunday brunch at the Star Anise. Paddling at Chalford park.
If you weren’t in Stroud, where would you be?
In a bad, bad place
What’s your favourite hidden gem in Stroud?
Star Anise, but its not really hidden any more.
How would you describe a Stroudie?
Funny, outspoken, stubbon, determined.
