The Patsy Gamble Band is making its Midsummer Gig a benefit for the Green Party. The jazz funk fusion gig is on Saturday 28 June at the
Trinity Rooms in Stroud, from 8 pm until 11 pm.
Just returned from a sell-out tour of Poland, Patsy said ‘I am
pleased to be helping the Greens who are doing so much locally and
indeed throughout the world to make real and important changes. The
Green message has never been more urgent.’
There will be a bar
with local ale, Fair Trade wines and juices. Tickets cost £10 (concessions at £7 available) on the door, or in advance by phone.
Patsy Gamble is a professional musician with extensive experience performing live and in the recording studio. Patsy has performed and recorded all over the UK and in France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and in the Middle East with many different artists including Steve Winwood, Mick Jagger, Ruby Turner, Jasper Carrott, Grand Drive, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridges, Paddy Milner, Eddie Martin, Keith Thompson and supported artists such as John Mayall and Peter Green. She also works as a session musician with one of the UK’s top horn sections.
Patsy, who lives in Stroud, has formed a band to perform a mixture of her own original material, which is mainly saxophone led with some vocals, and some covers in a jazz funk, fusion style.
