Fi writes to local papers to thank voters
Dear Editor
I would like to thank the voters of Nailsworth and Horsley for the
honour of representing the ward as District Councillor. After many
near misses for us, the green voice in Nailsworth and Horsley can be
heard.
I would like to correct your article 'Meet your newly elected
representatives' in this week's SNJ. I said that global agreements are
failing us, and that is why we need to act for change in our homes, in
our streets and in our communities: that is the way we can give
strength to those politicians with the necessary vision to make the
changes we need.
Voters may like to know that in the Local Elections, the Green Party
took 2nd most votes across the District, ahead of Labour and the
Liberal Democrats. Who said we are a minority party?
Cllr Fi Macmillan
