CALL FOR VOTERS TO REJECT BNP Print E-mail

Greenlogo26th April 2008

Cllr Philip Booth responds to a request for a comment on the BNP standing in Nailsworth: one of only four seats in the whole of the South West.

Cllr Philip Booth, a District councillor and a spokesperson for Stroud District Green party said: “A party which preaches prejudice and intolerance should not gain a foothold in this District. The BNP has a long history of anti-semitism, incitement to racial hatred and criminal activity – does anyone want to wake up on May 2nd and find that a member of this organisation is sitting on their local council?"

Philip Booth, who lived for many years in Nailsworth, added: “I am confident that Nailsworth residents will register their opposition to the BNP where it counts – at the ballot box this Thursday.”
