GREEN RAISES PLANNING DOCUMENT CONCERN Print E-mail

realprogress752nd December 2007

Cllr John Nicholson of Nailsworth Town Council and former Mayor of the town has raised concerns over the District Councils planning documents

John Nicholson said: "I was sent a letter inviting comments from residents in connection with my neighbour who wishes to build a conservatory. It states quite clearly on the second page that 'in all cases' reference must be made to the local plan - if this is not the case officers need to change the wording."

Stroud District Council have since agreed that the wording is 'ambiguous' as in fact only town and parish councils are required to quote from this document and only in some cases. They look set to change the wording.
