Plus you can get RSS news feeds (What is RSS? Visit here ).

FLOODS: The message of these rains could not be clearer - decisive, effective action to reduce climate change is needed now along with action to prepare properly for flooding which looks set to get even worse in the future. See our news release plus regular updates on flood news on Philip's blog (plus comments) and Molly Scott Catos' letter calling for the need for "resilient local economies and strengthening our communities...to protect ourselves against the  effects of climate change."

C'HAM GREENS TACKLE BOROUGH ON AIRPORT: Cheltenham Greens challenged Cheltenham Borough Council Scrutiny panel over their failure to end plans to expand Gloucestershire airport which the Borough co-owns with Glos City. Plus see Philip Booths letter re: a local poll showing 67% of people consider no action should be taken to cut the development of air travel.

NUKE NEWS: Another incident at Oldbury forced it to close: see our news release plus taxpayers expected to pick up a whopping £5.3 m due to failures at nuke company based in Barnwood. Plus 2 letters from Green member Clive Phillips challenging nuke claims and how Gordon Brown has managed to break the law, sabotage an ongoing public consultation and do a U-turn on his promise to listen to the people over nuclear power.

PARKWAY SHELVED: Greens have campaigned virtually alone against this environmentally damaging idea and welcome that plans have been dropped. See Bryan Meloys letter calling for the rest of the scheme to be thrown out plus other news releases on this and Govt plans to increase rail fares.
