Can I just express my heartfelt thanks to the citizens of Nailsworth who chose to vote for a Green Party candidate, and to those inside and outside the Green Party who put in so much time and effort on making the Nailsworth campaign the success that I feel it was.

Whilst we can all speculate on what we could have done or what may have contributed to our losing by such a tiny margin, I feel that we can all be proud of the fact that we gained more votes, and a greater share of the total vote, than we have ever achieved in Nailsworth, even when we had three Green councillors.
