CLIVE THANKS VOTERS IN WOTTON |

8th May 2007
Thank you to all who helped and supported me and/or the Green Party in the district elections. For me personally, there have been many positives to come out of the experience of standing. For the Party the result means we continue to gain support around Wotton, North Nibley and Waterly Bottoms, which in turn increases the confidence of other would be Green voters.
Many people now understand the Green Party is not a single issue Party and recognise clearly what its philosophy means for the health and success of their local community. Where Green Party seats were up for re-election, all of its candidates were confidently re-elected and it is now the third largest group on the district council.
The campaign has also identified people interested in developing, amongst others, a “transition town” (transition from an oil economy) group. I am now following these up and would welcome all enquiries/ideas.
