We are standing 12 candidates for Stroud District Council, 5 for Gloucester City, 2 for Tewkesbury and 6 for the Forest of Dean District elections on May 3rd. We are defending four seats including John Marjoram, the longest serving Green Councillor in the country, going for a record 7th term. We are working hard and with green issues firmly on the agenda plan to make gains this year.

Round up for West Gloucestershire elections

The Green Party has six candidates. James Greenwood, the co-ordinator of the West Gloucestershire Green Party said in The Forester: "We've got candidates standing from musicians to teachers to environmental experts, a good cross-section of people who we feel are strong. We're going to win all the seats we have candidates for. There's a mood out there where people think there's a need for some different thinking."
