BETTER NEWS RE MATERNITY HOSPITAL Print E-mail

7th August 2006

maternity1.jpgProtestors against the health cuts were again at large - this time at Stroud's Farmers Market on Saturday. Local authors gathered including Jilly Cooper, Katie Fjorde and the one-time Green party MEP candidate for the region, Sue Limb.

The protest comes just as there is news that the new South West Regional Health Authority has suggested more time could be allowed, meaning the services could face far fewer cuts in the immediate future.

Meanwhile the weekend saw the Green party again getting more signatures for the national petition.
