Stroud.jpgStroud Town Council co-opted two new Counclillors last night. This was through the death of Bernard Brown (Ind) and Carol Kambites (Green) resignation for personal reasons.

 
Cliff Dressel from Folly Lane was appointed for Uplands Ward in a two corner contest. In a five cornered contest in the town Central Ward, David Cockcroft (Green Party) was selected. David Cockcroft is active in the Peace movement and was previously a Town Councillor five years ago, and chairperson of the Finance and Policy Committee. 

 
The make up of the Council (18) is now 9 Greens, 2 Cons, 2 Lab and 5 Ind (3 of whom are ex-Lab).
