Over 60 people squeezed into Star Anise caf&amp;eacute; in Stroud on Friday June
27th to hear the latest Coffee House debate on the ethics of farming
and food. The evening covered many aspects of this wide-ranging topic,
including the relationship between livestock and climate change, the
effects of Peak Oil upon world food production, the efficacy of
different types of manures and the moral arguments for not eating meat.

about the need for more action on water conservation and recycling but

			<title>GREEN MOVE TO CUT COUNCILLORS CO2 EMISSIONS AND COSTS</title>

At the Full council meeting on 26th June Greens sought to cut car
allowances to councillors in a bid to save money and reduce CO2
emissions. They also sought an amendment to remove the cap on
Dependants Carers Allowance available to councillors who need to employ
help so that they can attend meetings.

Regeneration from Stroud-based green economist Molly Scott-Cato. The
presentation was followed by a discussion on projects like Cheltenham&amp;#39;s
Civic Pride, Stroud&amp;#39;s canal project and Gloucester&amp;#39;s &amp;#39;Magnificent
Seven&amp;#39;, the name given to seven key development sites.

The Patsy Gamble Band is making its Midsummer Gig a benefit for the Green Party. The jazz funk fusion gig is on Saturday 28 June at the
Trinity Rooms in Stroud, from 8 pm until 11 pm. 

Just returned from a sell-out tour of Poland, Patsy said &amp;lsquo;I am
pleased to be helping the Greens who are doing so much locally and
indeed throughout the world to make real and important changes. The
Green message has never been more urgent.&amp;rsquo;
