The Young Greens have long backed the campaign to lower the voting age to 16 and better engage the youth in citizinship and democracy.  The Youth Citizenship Commission has just begun a consultation on lowering the voting age to 16; have your say here:

Jenny Jones, Green Party member of the London Assembly, has released a report criticising London Mayor Boris Johnson's demonisation of the youth in his election campaign and calling for the Mayor to promote positive messages towards young people to counter the myths he has created.

Inaugural Young Greens Convention

October 25 - 26th will be the first Young Greens Convention taking place in Oxford.  This will be an opportunity to meet with other YGs from across the country in a fun and sociable environment.  There will be a series of workshops and discussions on how the YGs can develop as an organisation and a fun social on the Saturday evening.
